As the application of electrocatalyst continues to expand, envisaging the hidden mechanisms occurring at various length scale affecting the catalytic efficiency became important. To enhance the stability of electrocatalyst and reduce the cost, it is of paramount importance to reveal the active site's dynamics (using in situ techniques for getting the real-time information) which directly affect the reactions such as oxygen evolution reaction, hydrogen evolution reaction, and so on. Since such reactions are crucial for many engineering and scientific applications, in situ characterization techniques are required, which could capture such reactions happening at a different length and time scale. This article analyzes the recent progress made in the field of electrocatalyst's characterization using in situ neutron techniques. The article also paves the future path and has delineated the future challenges involved in multiscale correlative techniques (e.g., neutron techniques in the combination of synchrotron or microscopic techniques) used for getting the multiscale (atomic to micrometer range) mechanistic information about the electrocatalyst's working and degradation.  相似文献

Zeolites remain one of the most important classes of industrial catalysts used today, and with the urgent drive for the transition from petrochemical to renewable feedstocks, there is a renewed interest in developing new types of zeolite. Recent synthetic advances in the field have included the development of the assembly-disassembly-organisation-reassembly (ADOR) method. In this short review, we will discuss how solid-state NMR experiments can be used to probe the mechanism of the process by characterising the structure of the intermediates and products, show how 17O NMR spectroscopy can be used to probe the reactivity of ADORable zeolites and explain how this, in turn, can lead to fundamental questions of how zeolites behave in the presence of liquid water.  相似文献

Many researches have been devoted to rechargeable power generators that can store (but also release) energy. This availability is ensured through (e. g.) the oxygen evolution reaction (OER). However, (i) large values of the overpotentials and (ii) a progressive detriment of the anode (graphite) electrode limit the ultimate device. In view of enhancing the electrode performances, graphite was protected by following different strategies, which oblige to follow precise preparation protocols. Here, we prove that a thin layer of free-base porphyrin molecules is able to protect the underneath graphite electrode from detriment even if many (about 100) electrochemical cycles are performed.  相似文献

The combination of the macrocyclic hosts p-sulfonatocalix[4]arene and cucurbit[7]uril with the fluorescent dyes lucigenin and berberine affords two label-free enzyme assays for the detection of kinase and phosphatase activity by fluorescence monitoring. In contrast to established assays, no substrate labeling is required. Since phosphorylation is one of the most important regulatory mechanisms in biological signal transduction, the assays should be useful for identification of inhibitors and activators in high-throughput screening (HTS) format for drug discovery.  相似文献

Abstract

Complexes of [CdL2(NO3)2]·1.5H2O and [Ag2(μ-L)2(NO3)2] were synthesized by the reactions of 2-p-methylphenyl-5-(2-pyridyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazole (L) with Cd(NO3)2·4H2O and AgNO3, respectively. Their structures were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The photophysical property and thermal stability were characterized by FT???IR, UV???Vis absorption, fluorescence, and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Both complexes belong to the triclinic system with space group p???1. The central metal of [CdL2(NO3)2]·1.5H2O has a distorted octahedral geometry [CdN4O2], while two central Ag(I) atoms of [Ag2(μ-L)2(NO3)2] exhibit distorted tetrahedral geometries [AgN3O].  相似文献

The tenacity of the present study was to develop a material using an economical chemical route, having balance between magnetic and dielectric order parameters for maximum transmittance of electromagnetic waves in order to use them in shielding materials. In this context, Mn-Zn ferrites were prepared using a wet chemical based sol-gel auto-combustion technique. X-ray diffraction confirmed the pure phase formation of samples, while some impurity peaks were also present for the higher value of Mn substitution. Field emission scanning electron microscopy revealed a decrease in grain size with increasing Mn substitution. While energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy confirmed the elemental composition of pure and Mn substituted samples, the dielectric constant, dielectric loss and tangent loss were decreased with increasing frequency and increasing Mn substitution. The complex electric modulus was found to be a function of frequency and values of complex electric modulus were increased with increasing frequency and Mn substitution. The complex impedance of RC series circuit and RC parallel circuit was also decreased with increasing both the parameters while AC conductivity was increased in the series. Dielectric frequency response was also studied for the prepared samples and the best match was found with expected results. The Nyquist and Cole-Cole plots revealed the semi-conductive behavior at higher frequency and Mn substitution also yielded the same results. The relative stability of the samples to be used as dielectric materials was also studied using Bode and Nichols plots, and a comparatively high gain margin was observed, well suitable for potential applications in electromagnetic shielding.  相似文献

Herein, we report ultrasound-propelled graphene-oxide coated gold nanowire motors, functionalized with fluorescein-labeled DNA aptamers (FAM-AIB1-apt), for qualitative detection of overexpressed AIB1 oncoproteins in MCF-7 breast cancer cells. The movement of nanomotors under the ultrasound field facilitated intracellular uptake and resulted in a faster aptamer binding with the target protein and thus faster fluorescence recovery. The propulsion behavior of the aptamer functionalized nanomotors greatly enhanced the fluorescence intensity compared to static conditions. The new aptamer@nanomotor-based strategy offers considerable potential for further development of sensing methodologies towards diagnosis of breast cancer.  相似文献

为明确超声共振频谱分析法(RUS)测定圆柱体试样弹性常数的影响因素, 由此针对各向同性圆柱体开展实验, 观察圆柱体试样测量结果的分散性和稳定性, 且主要研究横纵比和有效模态数量对测量结果的影响, 并与拉伸试验的结果进行比较. 以测量结果标准差、变异系数和95%置信度下均值的区间估计3个指标来衡量结果的稳定性和分散性, 且从模态简并角度对实验结果进行分析. 最终结果表明, 当超声共振频谱分析法的有效模态数量在17左右、试样横纵比接近1时, 测量结果的稳定性和分散性较小.  相似文献

Two yellow bis-azo dyes containing anthracene and two azodiphenylether groups (BPA and BTA) were prepared, and an extensive investigation of their physical, thermal and biological properties was carried out. The chemical structure was confirmed by the FTIR spectra, while from the UV–Vis spectra, the quantum efficiency of the laser fluorescence at the 476.5 nm was determined to be 0.33 (BPA) and 0.50 (BTA). The possible transitions between the energy levels of the electrons of the chemical elements were established, identifying the energies and the electronic configurations of the levels of transition. Both crystals are anisotropic, the optical phenomenon of double refraction of polarized light (birefringence) taking place. Images of maximum illumination and extinction were recorded when the crystals of the bis-azo compounds rotated by 90° each, which confirms their birefringence. A morphologic study of the thin films deposited onto glass surfaces was performed, proving the good adhesion of both dyes. By thermal analysis and calorimetry, the melting temperatures were determined (~224–225 °C for both of them), as well as their decomposition pathways and thermal effects (enthalpy variations during undergoing processes); thus, good thermal stability was exhibited. The interaction of the two compounds with collagen in the suede was studied, as well as their antioxidant activity, advocating for good chemical stability and potential to be safely used as coloring agents in the food industry.  相似文献

Far-red emitting fluorescent labels are highly desirable for spectral multiplexing and deep tissue imaging. Here, we describe the generation of frFAST (far-red Fluorescence Activating and absorption Shifting Tag), a 14-kDa monomeric protein that forms a bright far-red fluorescent assembly with (4-hydroxy-3-methoxy-phenyl)allylidene rhodanine (HPAR-3OM). As HPAR-3OM is essentially non-fluorescent in solution and in cells, frFAST can be imaged with high contrast in presence of free HPAR-3OM, which allowed the rapid and efficient imaging of frFAST fusions in live cells, zebrafish embryo/larvae, and chicken embryos. Beyond enabling the genetic encoding of far-red fluorescence, frFAST allowed the design of a far-red chemogenetic reporter of protein–protein interactions, demonstrating its great potential for the design of innovative far-red emitting biosensors.  相似文献
